Still...
What I wouldn't give to be back at home. I guess I'm just a homebody!
I felt a little better about my seemingly endless state of homesickness today at work at my new job at the Helaman Creamery. I met a girl named Amy, and together we rolled out hamburger patties from raw ground beef (this sounds gross, I know, but it was actually the best part of my shift! It gets a little boring in there.) Here's what I found out about Amy:
- She's a sophomore.
- She THOUGHT she wanted to be a Civil Engineer, but found out she totally hates that, so now she's thinking about being a dance major, but is sortof struggling with the fact that it's not really a guarantee that she'll ever get a job with that, and plus, she's got a lot of smarts, so why not use them for something more academic?
- Her boyfriend, who was her best friend growing up, and who she dated long-distance last year, has been on a mission for about a month and she misses him lots, and says that it hasn't really gotten any easier with time, but that she has figured out how to cope with it.
- She loves being home more than anything anything annnyything.
Also, here's my new room, all the way unpacked and with a good start on being decorated!
I'm kindof ready for school to start so I can get this show on the roooad.
